Request Interpreter for Deaf or Hard of Hearing

How to Order Interpreting Services:

  • Please fill out our Interpreter Request Form below.

  • Below please fill out information on all details of the job, including date, time, place, consumer and method of communication.
  • A contract will be emailed to you. Once signed, simply return the contract and a confirmation will be promptly sent.
  • After the job is finished, all feedback is appreciated.
  • You will receive an invoice in a timely fashion, payable within thirty days.

 

General Policy Information (rates will be provided on your contract):

  • Regular rates: Assignments that are scheduled with notice of at least two business days (48 hours).
  • Emergency rates: Assignments that are scheduled in less than two business days. Double hourly rate will be applicable for the first four hours, with a 2 hour minimum.
  • After Hour Assignments: An additional $2 per hour may be charged. These rates are applicable during the following hours: Weekdays: Monday – Friday 5:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Weekends beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday to 9:00 AM on Monday.
  • Holiday rates: Assignments that occur on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day are charged as the emergency rate above.
  • Travel time is charged @ 67 cents a mile, to and from assignment. Mileage rate is determined by Federal Guidelines. Parking and tolls will also be charged as incurred by each interpreter. No-shows will be billed without exception.

 

Team Interpreters:

  • It is customary to assign two interpreters for the duration of complex assignments exceeding two (2) hours because of the intense nature of the work and need to ensure accuracy.
  • A team of one deaf and one hearing interpreter is required in situations in which optimum communication with a deaf client (s) is not possible with a single interpreter. In addition, mental health settings place high demands on successful communication and may warrant the use of a deaf/hearing team.

 

Cancellation Policy:

48 hours is required (two business days) for cancellation of services, when less than 2 business days’ notice is given, the client will be billed for contract time and responsible for payment in full.
